The real world just marches in sometimes, commanding a clear domination of one’s free time. As I do love my site, it’s a ton of work and the day job has been barking louder. Filling the void since my last post has been the happy surprise of the election turnout in Obama’s favor. I had some faith that things would swing this way, but given the state of the world for the past 8 years, I also had my questions.

After the results came in, I found myself driving around L.A. listening to “Old Old Fashioned” by Frightened Rabbit. The upbeat tone matching what I feel about what could happen in the next chunk of American history. There’s nothing like a bit of joy to match the empty streets of L.A. at night.
